Something I’ve learned in my life is to never give up on it.  I may have got lost along the way or had to make some detours, but somehow no matter how difficult the situation has been, I’ve come through it, or around it, or over it.  Life will always have its ups and downs. Sometimes I’ve taken big leaps, little leaps or just the smallest of steps. There have also been times when I needed to sit on the sidelines and simply watch the world go by.

Like a lot of women, I know that I’ve not always appreciated how blessed I am with the people in my life.  I can also say, that  applies to me when I’ve done things with no bother as well!  It’s only been when others noticed and praised me that I realised I’ve forgotten or never realised that expression of myself was easy.  I know there have also been times when I’ve not challenged myself further, but instead allowed myself to be distracted by other things that didn’t really need my attention.

As I’ve said in my book, we can’t change the past. We are who we are because of it – and if we choose, we can strive to be even better tomorrow.  That’s why I want to encourage you to be visible and allow yourself to be seen by others to re-connect with you, and the expression of you.  It’s not too late. Accept the fact that failure is possible and that everyone has at some point failed at something.  But when you take chances or risks in your own way, you will allow yourself to grow and fulfil the curiosity that’s there, waiting.  Remember its curiosity and the need for learning that keeps us going.  Every day gives us a new opportunity of some sort.

Life can come easily or it can be difficult. If you put limits on the things you do, it has the potential to spread into the rest of your personal and professional life.  I’ve done that in my life,  so take it from me and don’t put those limits on yourself.  Have confidence and challenge yourself to become the best you can be.

I’ll leave you with one of my Wise Woman quotes that I’m particularly fond of,

It’s not about breaking through the glass ceiling, it’s about building your own house”
