English: Maria Moline, instructor, coaches her...I always recommend to women that I work with, that it’s good to start your day on a positive note by appreciating your unique qualities, talents and passions.  Keep it simple by allowing a smile to appear both on the inside and out, which says to yourself “I Love You”.

Do it before opening your eyes to the day, whilst you’re getting up from bed, or brushing your teeth, or making a cup of tea … whenever you choose. You’ve heard the old saying – “use it or lose it!”  This article is to remind you about you, and I hope aim to feed your mind and nourish your soul.

The area I’ve left out is to cherish your body. I’m guilty of not doing that myself in the past. However nowadays I do as much exercise as possible, if only for the reason that I love my food too much! I do Pilates, exercise classes and Zumba whenever I can which is helping towards cherishing my body more.

The teachers are great and I’ve met a number of lovely women at each of them. We laugh, joke, enjoy the music, share personal moments, feel good, as well as huff and puff at times! And of course, I’ve been known to do a spot of clock-watching to see if we’ve nearly finished!

What we’re doing, as mature women, is celebrating ourselves and also life. We’re celebrating that we’re doing something to replenish our energy which has nothing to do with our partners, children, work or home life. We come out full of confidence and ready for the rest of our world. We’re being selfish, but in the right way. We’re cherishing our bodies without always being conscious that we’re doing it.
