Meandering Time

“Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished” (Lao Tzu)

Today I am simply allowing myself a little meandering time hence the lovely saying above.

You and Your Garden

There’s no big deal here and yet I’d like you to imagine that you yourself were a garden.   And then I’d like you to reflect on the fact that some things take lots of hard work, mowing, pruning, watering, weeding whilst others just grow regardless (particularly what we call ‘weeds’) year in, year out.

You can relax in your garden, you can enjoy your garden, you can potter about in it and you can play in it too.   Of course, there are many more things you can do in your garden and you can let me know what you come up with!!

And so I’d like you to see life as this garden.   In order to stay healthy and thrive, some hard work and focus is required.   You’ve put the basis in (groundwork) and you’ve remembered to have the right tools, including even gloves to protect yourself from the thorns and nettles.   I also know that some just love having their bare hands in the soil and others can allow the wildness to be there too.

Hard Work and Enjoyment

So your real or imaginary garden has both hard work and enjoyment the same as life.  Sometimes, it can cause you to be fed-up with the pressure of it and it may even cause you to spend out too much money.  You may even be in competition with your neighbours as to who has the best garden!

If you are like me, you are also grateful for the wonder of the flowers coming up at different times of the year in all their different colours and glory – even the unexpected ones you didn’t know were there.

Then there are the natural seasons for growth, death and re-birth and these again are normal in many different forms in your garden and life.

Most of us usually try to force a solution by pushing and striving and I know this is me at times when life isn’t happening fast enough for me – it’s called impatience!!!   It may also be called lack of trust or faith in the natural unfolding of us.

I am suggesting that you be like Nature and allow your unfoldment to be.  I know for me (and perhaps for you too) it can be hard to come at times from that place of curiosity, openness and possibility – to simply trust and have faith in life.

You also know that Life is not simply about survival.   It is about growing and thriving and allowing the beauty that’s inside you to be visible in whatever shape and form your garden is.  Your dreams always await you along with that deep inner voice – the voice of your Soul – which is sometimes buried under the earth and simply needs that ‘meandering time’ to be heard.

I want to encourage you to re-connect with your dreams of a life the way you want it to be.  It’s not too late to connect with your inner confidence.  Book a Discovery Session with me to find out more – see my website www.thevisiblewoman.com or email me on irene@irenebrankin.co.uk
