WAVING OR PLANTING MY FLAG

I am beginning this week’s blog with a little bit of background first before I share my truth so bear with me.   When I first started my psychological/spiritual journey many moons ago – actually 1979 (shock, horror – yes, that long ago!!) at the end of an exercise, the image I got (which we had to draw) was of the post of a gate.

 

This gate was able to open and shut and yet the post was the steadfastness in the ground regardless.   I also got it last year again and the words with it were ‘waving or planting the flag’ (thanks Jacqueline Rogers who enabled the space for me to come to this realisation xx).

 

The Post = MySelf or the Divine

 

For me, the message I took from that (and from other similar images) was the post was mySelf or the Divine.     I was aligned with mySelf and I had a choice in opening and closing my gate to whoever, whatever and wherever I wanted.

 

I could be in charge of my personality as I could lean on mySelf and so could allow and be with whatever was happening in my life whether fear, laughter, pleasure, pain, withdrawal, tears, learning………………     So started my conscious journey through life!!!

 

My Truth

 

My 2^nd book was called ‘I Don’t Care – The Art of Divine Indifference’ and more and more of that really is my truth.   I am not coming from an arrogant stance by any means. I am coming from my heart – my soul – my love as I know I come from a place of connection when I say ‘I Don’t Care’. There are so many other people, things and places I truly care about and will care about, I know, as I am choosing who and what I don’t care about.

 

Stage or place in my life

 

So here I am then at this stage in my life – a post in the ground or I am waving the flag – opening and closing the gate (me) when I choose and sometimes it may open and close too little or too much as I am still open to learning on my journey through life.   And I want to remind you that when you allow yourself to be you, you are taking your power.  Let me make it clear that taking your power is not about having power over others.

 

It is about setting boundaries and acting on behalf of your own needs in a way that doesn’t cause harm to others.   In order to take power, you have to be clear about what you feel and think of the people and situations that affect your life.  You need to take time to clarify your thoughts and feelings and, like me, you will make mistakes along the way.

 

I genuinely don’t care about so much and the paradox is that I do care about so much whilst knowing what I offer and what I don’t offer.   And I am connected to so many other wonderfully, talented people I can suggest can support you in any area that I am not involved in.

 

MySelf, Me and You

 

I am waving my flag strongly and clearly on behalf of mySelf, me and you.  If you are ready, come and work with me as you find your connection with your post or flag and see what it is you truly care and don’t care about!!
