Thank You - DankeLife can be so crazy and changeable. Well, at least mine can!

I was supervising in Sweden at the weekend with a smashing group of people, and of course the clocks went back. Not a problem as everyone came on time. I will come back to this shortly.

But there was a horrific windstorm in the UK (it was called Jude) and caused havoc in many places due to the disruption of electricity, trains and the underground as well as, unfortunately, deaths and injury. So when we think all is going smoothly there can be disruption of some kind, large or small.

Planes were cancelled although luckily my one was only a little late. It was when I landed here that I got caught up with the chaos. Carrying my little case didn’t help my journey, as the transport that was running was over-crowded. So, there I am, up and down stairs trying to get to platforms I’d never used before. The information was poor, but I met some lovely people while trying to find out what was going on.

Eventually I did get home safely, if exhausted, so all turned out well for me.

This morning was my Pilates class first thing. I woke up, looked at my clock and raced out of bed. I was going to be late. However, on coming downstairs, I found my husband had changed all our clocks but not my alarm clock. I was not late at all!

So I started off today in gratitude. I was grateful for being alive, grateful for getting home safely and grateful for having some ‘me’ time this morning, instead of rushing around.

I have so much to be grateful for and want to remind you that research has shown that daily gratitude can make you more resilient to life’s ups and downs (or craziness and changeability).

Before I go to sleep, I go through what I have been grateful for in my day. I also do this at times during the day when I remember!

I finish today by asking you, ‘What are you grateful for?’ I’d love to hear from you.

xx
